9/6/2017 My news…I graduated from a eight-week prison training program.  I am still working on house training, I am leash trained, crate trained, know my basic obedience.  I can still be spooked of new places or quick movements but I so want to be a good boy.  Can you love me through the times you show me that I am worthy of your love and attention?  I hope so.


Hi. My name is Hershey.  I am about five years old and I weigh less than eleven pounds.  I came to the rescue with ten other yorkies from a place called a puppy mill. I was a daddy dog and that was my only job. I didn’t belong to a person or family and lived in a cage.  The rescue came and got us and I am free now.  Free to start a new life and learn how to be a companion.

 

I want to talk to you openly about a few things.  I have been working on learning about house training but I honestly still need some work.  When I get nervous I spin in circles.  You have to understand I had nothing else to do in that barn cage when I was scared or nervous.  I don’t want to so maybe you could put me on a leash and we could walk or redirect my thoughts.  I really need a home with a fenced yard for me to potty and play in. My mouth had a lot of rotten teeth when I got here. They gave me a dental cleaning and extractions. When it was all done I had to lose a lot of bad teeth so I don’t have enough left to hold my tongue in my mouth.  I feel so much better and don’t mind so I hope you don’t either.

 

 I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, groomed and that dental done.  My adoption fee is 250.00.  The first step in my adoption process is to complete an application at dogsasfamily.org for me Hershey.  Do you have the heart to help a little boy understand that people are good and loving?  I am willing to learn and I promise to be the best boy I can.
